Did you know that Doctors of Chiropractic must complete two years of undergraduate studies in addition to four years of Chiropractic college? They also average more hours in Orthopedics, Anatomy, Physiology, Neurology, and Radiology than M.D.'s. In 1994, the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research published a report on back pain suggesting the guidelines for its treatment. This report found chiropractic care to be one of the most effective methods in the treatment of back pain. Surprisingly, it cited back surgery as well as bed rest as ineffective methods to treating back pain.
